Westerdam 360

MS Westerdam is a Vista-class cruise ship owned by Holland America Line. She’s the third ship of her class run by the line, and the third ship to carry the name Westerdam. Her sisters are the Oosterdam, Zuiderdam and Noordam.
She was launched on 16 July 2003, built by Fincantieri, and has been in service with Holland America Line since 2004. She’s 285 m long with a beam of 32 m and a draft of 8 m, which looks every bit as big as it sounds when she’s sitting in Twofold Bay.
This 360° view was shot from a drone 80 metres above the ship, so you can spin around and take in the whole scene. You get the Westerdam itself, but also the town of Eden and the sweep of Twofold Bay around her.
Drag the view about and you’ll get a real sense of the ship’s size and layout, from the swimming pool to the lounges. For us, though, the best part is everything around her: the green hills rolling down to the town and the sparkle on the water of the bay.
If you love cruising, or just love a good view, take a few minutes to have a wander around this one.
